Book Displays
Comics at the law library?
An offbeat way to learn about the law!
Comics and Graphic Novel Display:
Several comic books and graphic novels
showcase the law in their stories. These books focus on different
depictions of the interaction between heroes and the law.
Featured titles:
- Identity Crisis, which in part explores what
a hero can or should do to protect their loved ones when
villains have learned the heroes identities;
- Watchmen looks at whether or how the law applies
to those whose powers or abilities set them apart from
the rest of humanity; and
- Daredevil: Cruel and Unusual which explores the
importance of the rule of law as Daredevil seeks to clear
the name of a long-time villain who was convicted of a
crime he did not commit.
Legal Resource Display:
As a Public Law Library, we have
many Copyright, Trademark & Patent resources written for attorneys and non-attorneys.
These books and treatises can provide
you with the guidance you need to protect your creation,
whether it be a new character, a graphic novel script, a
short story, a novel, or a piece of art. Featured practice
guides focus on protecting your work through copyright and
trademark protection, as well as how to protectively market
your work with a variety of licensing agreements.
Some of the popular titles in the
Library's collection include:
These book displays will be available
for viewing at the Main library through the end of July during
regular business hours.
